2011 Activities
April 7, 2011 - SCUPA participated in Let There Be Mom's annual fund-raiser, Seek and Snap and made a monetary donation.
April 30 - SCUPA participated in March of Dimes March for Babies. Our organization raised a grand total of $2,767.00. Our original goal was $1,500.00.
May/June/July
Plans are underway for a new fund-raising project to raise money for Let There Be Mom and Harvest Hope. We plan to have the first ever SCUPA cookbook. We'll begin collecting recipes from members: casseroles and crock-pot recipes. The plan will be to have the books ready to sale at the annual seminar and the holidays.
We also plan to have volunteers visit a nursing home in June. No fund-raising necessary. Members will visit elderly residents who may not have family to visit.
June/July - we will be collecting monetary donations to purchase food items to assist A Child's Haven with kid's meals during summer parenting classes for at least a month of Tuesdays.
At the end of July, we will hold our annual school supply drive for A Child's Haven.
August/September/October
For Fall, the Pro Bono Committee will concentrate on volunteer opportunities to benefit Harvest Hope. A food drive will be held during this time and hopefully, a service project. In addition to these projects, the Pro Bono Committee will be looking out for opportunities to make a positive contribution to the community.

2010 Activities
On April 24, 2010, SCUPA participated in the 2010 March of Dimes March for Babies campaign. We had a goal of $1,500 and exceeded that goal by raising $2,340. In addition to raising money, SCUPA also sponsored a comfort station, handing out bottles of water and candy to hundreds of walkers and runners. Our members pitched in and helped donate over 20 cases of water. Participants in this year's event included both members and friends: Dorothy Huskey, Team Captain; Marianna Jackson, Co-Captain; Barbara Adkins, Daysha Bonner, Jennifer Greene, Karen Hall, Whitney Horn, Gail Inzero, Phyllis Mitchell, Lee Owens, Laura Page, Diane Petrice, Travis Ray, Logan Ray, Liz Scharf, Colleen Stevens, Wendy MacDonald, and George Huskey. SCUPA would especially like to thank the following supporters for their assistance and donations: Gallagher Court Reporting, McAngus Goudelock & Courie, Jackson Lewis, and Legal Eagle.
